Terms of the Award
Last updated October 22, 2026
What the award is
The Millionaire Award ("the award") is a recognition given by The Millionaire Awards to people whose net worth has reached at least US$1,000,000, together with a published profile and story. It is a recognition, not a certification, license, qualification or financial credential.
Not a credit reference
The award, its record pages and anything on this site must not be used, by anyone, as a factor in any decision about credit, lending, insurance, employment, tenancy or any other eligibility decision. We do not provide consumer reports and do not offer any lookup service for such purposes.
Applications
Laureates apply for themselves. By applying you confirm that you are the person named in the application and that what you write is honest. Applying is free.
Qualification and declarations
Every laureate signs a declaration that their net worth is at least US$1,000,000. Laureates may also provide a supporting letter or lifestyle evidence. Our review is a reasonableness check by a person; we do not audit finances. The award record states how a laureate qualified. A false declaration is grounds for revocation without refund.
Selection
We select applications at our discretion. We never ask for payment before an application has been selected.
Activation
A selected applicant activates their award either by paying the activation fee (currently $999, once) or by donating at least $2,000 directly to a registered charity of their choice and providing the receipt. We never receive or handle donated money and make no statement about the tax treatment of any donation; please consult your own adviser. Founding Laureates may be offered the award without charge in exchange for publishing their story.
Seats and the wall
Every laureate holds an equal seat: we never rank laureates or number them in public. Seats are placed in the order awards are issued. Each laureate is featured for twelve months from the award date and is then shown permanently in the Hall of Laureates. We may change the design of the wall and the site, but not a laureate’s award code or their place in the Hall.
Your content
You keep ownership of your photograph and your story. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce and share them on this site and in material that promotes The Millionaire Awards and its laureates. You confirm you have the right to grant this. We may edit stories for length, clarity or safety; any AI-assisted wording is published only with your approval.
Privacy choices and removal
Laureates may appear by name, by initials or as a Private Laureate, and may change this at any time. A laureate may ask us to remove their photograph, name and story; the award record then shows as a Private Laureate. The laureate number, seat and issuance record are kept as a business record.
Revocation
We may revoke an award for a false declaration, impersonation, fraud, a chargeback, or conduct that would bring the award into disrepute. A revoked award is shown as revoked on its record page.
Liability
The site and the award are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one published when you accepted your award.
